- Professional Development Panel: Nikki Navta, CEO of Zulama, is participating in a panel entitled: Professional Development: Accessing Your Lifelong Super Powers: CSTA Professional Development Showcase. Monday, July 10th, 2:15 to 3:15 PM at Watertable.
- Computer Science and Game Design Presentation: Nikki Navta, CEO of Zulama, will present on how Zulama tackles challenges that K–12 CS teachers face in their classrooms, in a session entitled Computer Science and Game Design: Re-imagining CS Education. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with three enterprising educators: Sergio Anaya from Colonial SD, Mary Wilson from Elizabeth Forward SD, and Faith Plunkett from Huntsville City SD. They will share their dynamic classroom experiences about having implemented the Zulama game design, programming, mobile apps, and 3D modeling curriculum. You will come away from this presentation armed with real examples, as well as tips and tools for building video games aligned to the K–12 CS Framework and CSTA K–12 Standards, so that you can engage and inspire your students to learn and practice computer science in your very own classrooms.
